James Kimber, founder of and chief designer for Kimberspring, has had a lifelong obsession with making works of art from ordinary, everyday things . He gained an Honours degree in Creative 3D Design at Plymouth College of St Mark & St John and from Purdue University, Indiana, USA in 1993 with postgraduate work in Community Arts.
James Kimber now lives on the beautiful Dorset coastline and divides his time between designing and hand crafting the Kimberspring range of products and leading "Weapons Of Sound", a unique percussion band that plays percussion on recycled junk instruments James has designed and made, in the UK and abroad for corporate and private clients. He is constantly designing new pieces for Kimberspring based on exciting, different themes using innovative materials . The website is regularly updated with his new objets d'art.
